Izzam is an advocate & solicitor in the High Court of Malaya practicing litigation and criminal practices, and corporate and commercial for over 30 years since 6th January 1995 and previously a senior partner in a well-established legal firm of Messrs. Abu Talib Shahrom, Kuala Lumpur, listed under Legal Asia 500, before joining Rangkaian Hotel Seri Malaysia in 2015, a company certified by the Malaysian Guinness' Book of Record as the largest local hotel chain owned by Minister of Finance Inc. at 21 locations nationwide.

Thereafter, Izzam acted as Legal Advisor for Langkawi Development Authority (LADA), a statutory body under the purview of the Ministry of Finance, and later in 2018, served public-listed Puncak Niaga Bhd/TRIplc Bhd’s Group of Companies before resuming his professional legal practice in Langkawi since July 2019.
